Hello thread, i ended up with @muskyhuntr 's ehha revA. I read back a page or two and he had mentioned he grounded it differently. Anything I can help with here? I am also seeing issues with the amb e12 but only on the right channel, sometimes it works. I have yet to troubleshoot it.

It comes down to what higher frequencies you are sensitive to.  I think that with the HE-6 having a similar, lower but much broader peak in the treble allows it to sound uniform across the range and instead of just one short peak, spreads it out nicely.  Of course this wouldn't work at all if...

+1 HE-6 defense force go! They got pretty torn apart in this review. Although, comparing them vastly underpowered to what is to known as one of the best headphone/amp synergies really grinds my gears.

I try to ground myself on my table as much as possible due to sitting in a microfiber chair...  I've noticed this happens with heaphones that have a metal driver or cloth over a metal cover (ultrasone).  Never happened with the SA-5000.

That's why i use 150Wpc @ 8ohms, and it sounds great. Sadly not all music is mastered equally. My classical collection is expanding way too fast.
