Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread
Yeah, it's definitely a Sennheiser problem. I've having the same issue with a FiiO BTA30 (99 euro) and Creative BT-W3 (29 euro) and whatever I try, crackling persists. Since AptX-LL is a big part of the reason I went for the Momentum 3, I sadly have to return them. They all seem to have this...- jelbo

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
That's what I thought, though there are some sources that claim otherwise. I think Apple is able to pass along AAC untouched over bluetooth, as long as it's their own iTunes AAC files. As for anything else, as far as I understand the best thing to do with bluetooth is to use a lossless source...- jelbo

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread
It's good advice, but I have had the no sound issue with my Galaxy S10 and Shanling M0, I can't just swap those for something else. This alone is a showstopper, because at any time during listening to music it can stop and I need to unpair, pair, reboot, etc., hoping it will work again. I'll...- jelbo

What's happening here is not something that happens with any Bluetooth headphones. Regarding the Sennheiser AptX-LL crackling issue specifically, you can find the same experience from different people. That one is pretty obscure I guess, because not many use that protocol. The 'no sound' issue...- jelbo

Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless - The Official Thread
My initial good impression has turned into a nightmare. Does anyone recognize these issues? AptX-LL issues: every other session is plagued by random cracks and pops. Using a FiiO BTA30. When listening to music from my DAP (AAC over Bluetooth, Shanling M0): sometimes the sound suddenly...- jelbo

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
I have something similar with Sennheiser Momentum 3's. It worked about twice. Now, whenever I connect there is no sound. I have turned off both devices, unpaired from both, re-paired, but it doesn't play sound. /edit: it's a confirmed problem with these / Sennheiser headphones. /edit2: the...- jelbo

Still enjoying my M0 :) I've got a question about AAC playback over bluetooth. If I use AAC over bluetooth, will AAC files be transcoded or is the AAC stream passed directly?- jelbo

Shure AONIC 50 -
Got these last week but returned them. I too had the rattle sound when walking and ANC on. Sound was good, comfort as well. ANC worked well for low frequency noise. I didn't like the fake leather, looked like it wouldn't last long. Still, for the price it's an ok headphone. I went with the...- jelbo

I swapped the Shure Aonic 50's for these. Man, what a difference in build quality. The Shures had a rattle when moving and a weird wooshing sound when moving around. The fake leather.. I didn't like it. These Sennheisers are super well built. Sound is more colored, but they sound great and I'm...- jelbo

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
So, I've tried playing some music on a friend's no-name BT speaker and while it connected fine - I had a lot of stutters and pauses. That was on official firmware 2.2. Their Apple and Android phones had no problems. After updating to 2.3 I tried connecting to my Creative Muvo 2c. It took 4...- jelbo

No fix unfortunately. It just doesn't display them fully; it cuts off a certain percentage of pixels. Of my 240x240 test image only 222x222 was displayed. See my post about this bug.- jelbo

So I'm not sure if it's on official 2.2 as well, but the clock and volume display digits are very misaligned... (and different size)- jelbo

Same here. With or without gapless enabled. Freshly made .dsf's using Sonore's ISO2DSD (that uses the latest sacd_extract.exe). It's kind of a disappointment for me after buying a DAP that advertises itself as being HiRes certified, plays DSD and does gapless. Here's what Shanling said about it:- jelbo

Man, that sounds so subjective. Moody, not many details, smudged bass, harsh and biting. Riiiiight.- jelbo

Any reason you're using WAV instead of FLAC? End result is the exact same, but at ~60-70% of the size of WAVs.- jelbo
