[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

Sorry, noob android question here for my M11. So on the M11 firmware upgrade before 1.1.1, I removed the akpure app in favor of the google store based on the general advise of this forum, since akpure seems to be spamware at best now and we now have the google play store. But perhaps I haven't...

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

Okay, so sounds like APKPure is on the way out. I always thought of the play store as evil from the standpoint of intrusive spying apps, and thought it was possible to delete it and considered it but haven't done it. But perhaps the lesser of evils going forward. Curious if there are any...

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

Hey there head-fi M11 owners. Since the last FiiO M11 update, my APKPure app has been a bit pushy about stuff. And today when I turned on my M11 there's this google play store alert saying "APKPure may be harmful" and suggesting I uninstall it. APKPure is how I've traditionally installed what...

Does anybody actually expect to get 50, what was it, days?, of sleep time on a powered on M11? Is losing 5% a day in sleep really that unusual?

Hmmm, wish I could compare sleep notes with you, but I generally turn mine off at night so have a different usage pattern. Doesn't sound like you should be facing diminished capability unless the battery was charged too quickly with a quickcharger of the wrong sort.

How old is your device, approximately how many recharge cycles has it had? Do you let it drain to zero before recharging, or do you recharge at 20%. I'm just wondering if your battery may be reaching the point where it holds a charge less well due to normal aging considerations.

Probably need more data. I use streaming music and have tried each of Tidal, Qobuz, and Amazon HD for a 2+ months. The Amazon HD app was substantially more draining of my M11 battery even when it wasn't actively playing music compared to Tidal and Qobuz apps. One of the many reasons I deleted...

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC

Re: bluetooth, I've only used my M11 with my BluDento boxes, and with an old Bose bluetooth speaker, and I have never had a problem with the volume. So whatever is going on for the rest of you may not be entirely the M11's fault. Do we know why there is this discrepancy between bluetooth...

The music won't be deleted, but the index that the FiiO music player builds of the _content_ of your cards is lost and has to be re-built with a "scan".

Ah thanks, I'd forgotten. It's been a while since I've done an FW update, and I'm holding off on 1.10 until the current noise about problems dies down.

Reset how? Presumably FW updates do some kind of soft reset when they install.

Lol, I always let this thread lapse in my reading until there's a new firmware rev, where I resume reading here to make sure it's working for other people. Overall my M11 is doing fine after a year, except for the horribly slow card processing when I have to do a rescan or use the FiiO player...

Looking for upgrade to Sony MDR-7506 headphones for FiiO M11

Glad you like it and that my review didn't lead you astray. There was nothing wrong with the MDR-7506, but the ATH-MSR7b definitely reveal more of the music for me. Just forget trying to do any work while I listen when I'm wearing them and playing Pink Floyd, the combo requires full...

No, it was never resolved, the card is equally slow to scan in either card slot. I suppose next time I'll just try another brand of card and hope for the best.

Looking for upgrade to Sony MDR-7506 headphones for FiiO M11

I bought the ATH-MSR7b (and posted a review in the reviews section of head-fi). If you're wanting strong bass it isn't going to give you that boost, but it is all around an improvement on the 7506 that I was looking for, I'm happy with it.
