Lidocaine in a sense dulls the transmission of nerve signals. While this may reduce the transmission of the tinnitus frequency, I wonder if it would dull transmission of all frequencies. I am not an ENT guy, however.

Sounds like discrete fit is just as important to you as SQ. With that in mind, the Westones really do fit nicely in the recess of the ear and don't stick out as much as the UE or the Etys. That having been said, I am a big fan of the accurate sound of the Ety. Have fun in San Francisco

I don't think this has been reported as a comon problem. It would be interesting if you could post those pics that you had sent in.
