anyone who uses their IEMs for desktop use know of any good way to get aptx codecs on windows? apparently it doesn't really support it natively so I still get a lot of latency.

I wish someone could custom make a 2.5mm adapter for the connectors. My canare cable and OCC cable both have issues with the connectors.

So I was fiddling with the one of the tubes and the adhesive to the black foam peel off and now it wont go back down. What should I use to keep it down?

100% laid back sounding for me. Really enjoyable. It isn't inaccurate in terms of 'coloring' but it rolls off the highs a bit.

I can confirm with both CAL and CAL 2 that the HM5 are a much needed comfort improvement. It benefits CAL2 more than the original in terms of isolation and SQ. 

The Shure 840 pads would be a better fit than they beyer pads I would think. There has to be a little leeway with the pads because the cups are more rounded than oval shaped. It might be a good experiment for someone to try.

Honestly if you're still on the fence about getting the pads then save your money. It's $17.50 american dollars for a pair of HM5 pads, which is less than a bar tab on a Friday night for me. I really enjoy the ergonomics, the isolation is not better or worse on the CAL! (on the CAL2 HM5 pads do...

How do you guys feel about silver plated cables for hd558s? I saw a seller on ebay selling DIY silver cables for around 40ish dollars. I'm kinda interested if it makes any difference in the sound quality.

It's only started as of late, but my longer headphone cords are having a lot of hiss and interference now with my magni. Like any cable longer than 6ft, but anything below that is perfectly fine. Not sure what the deal is, would anyone have an idea?
