Sony, Bose, Beats or Plantronics ?

ANC won't block out a baby's crying, or voices in general. ;)  It barely attenuates high frequencies at all, and only attenuates mid-frequencies very slightly.  Almost all of the "NC" is in the low frequency range.     Also, the B&W P5 and P7 are one of the best headphone designs around! ...

Sony, Bose, Beats or Plantronics ?

I'd get the Beats Solo 3 beacuse that's what I've decided to buy for myself. ;)   Personally, I don't like ANC, and I don't think you need it unless you work in a noisy office, or you fly often.  Do you work in a noisy office, or fly often?    I don't like ANC because:   1. Headphones will...

Going to China, S.Korea and Japan. ANC suggestions?

There's a Korean company named Samsung who make a headphone line called "Level" or something like that. They're supposed to sound pretty decent.   Phiaton is also Korean and have ANC, although the ANC is very mild on their headphones.

Audiophile Wireless Bliss vs Perfected Wireless Technology... Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless vs Beats Solo3

Thanks. It's difficult to find reviews where the codecs are mentioned, especially when cross-shopping headphones used for iPhones vs other phones or sources. I suspect that if Solo 3 > Momentum Wireless for AAC files, then it would probably be a draw if MP3s (or anything else) were used...

Audiophile Wireless Bliss vs Perfected Wireless Technology... Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless vs Beats Solo3

Thanks! Exactly the type of review I was looking for. I was wondering if the results would be significantly different if you used an Android phone of some sort? I also wonder if you're listening to AACs, or some mp3s as well?? I figured both headphones would sound compressed if listening to...

    Portable Headphones for Rock/Electronica/Hip-Hop/Pop - MS400 vs TMA-1 vs ESW9

Old thread, but I'm going to answer anyway.     I don't know about the TMA-1 (never tried them), but I've tried the ESW9, and I own the Phiaton MS400, and personally, I think depends on your sound preference.   The Phiaton MS400 sounds fantastic.  It's very portable, very comfortable...

    ATH-AD700 storage

Do people in uni residences even know about audio gear? They may think those AD700s are just $50 headphones.

    ATH-FC700 vs ATH-es7

Rather than starting a new thread, I was wondering the same thing. Which is better? I'm currently in Japan, and would like to buy a pair of EC7 or FC700s before I leave. I like listening to indie rock, dance-rock, hip-hop, and some dance music. I'd say I listen to indie rock 50%, hip-hop 25%...

-- My JAYS d-Jays review with pictures and s-jays comparisons! --

I know I know.....thread resurrection. I've had the d-JAYS for a number of months now, and there's just very little bass. Maybe I should be looking at getting a pair of Turbines or JVC-Victor FX500s to replace my Sony EX-85s (which produce great bass but very low detail in the highs)...

Will I be disappointed with IEMS after full size cans?

I'm really new here and don't know much, but I can't find a reason for why I'd want more "sound stage" for the type of music I listen to. I guess if you listen to classical it's fine, but for most types of modern music, you'd be more into the details in the sound and such, and IEMs seem to have...

    Which ones for noob: CX-500, Ne-8, d-JAYs, U.E. 3, or RE2?

I saw this post earlier, but I wanted to give my new earphones some time before I replied. I have used them for around 8 hours now. Not really a lot of time, but enough to give you an opinion. When I first started using them, the highs hurt my ears. Seriously piercing. After about 3 hours, they...
