I have a bold 9700, my SE phone w510i blows it away.. the 9700 is rolled off on the low end, it's disappointing even with its eq, which is preset, no custom available...I was hoping it would be acceptable, to me it's not. Can someone that owns this generation, verify if the EQ distorts on this particular model when it is turned on?  The reason I ask is because I demo'd one in an Apple store with the B & W headphones they had plugged in, and I checked the EQ and turned it on and listened, and I did'nt hear any...

same issue here... I find that if I just lock it, it drains. I turn on airplane mode, and turn off wi fi, (I thought thats what airplane mode did on the touch) anyways, thats a work around for now until iOS4.1 comes out, I also try to turn it off to preserve battery, but there is definitely a...

@Achmedisdead   September is just around the corner..I'd hold off for the 2011 models. Apple updates their iPods every year. See if you like what they will be offering, then decide.
