Good portable DAC/AMP for mixing on the go?

I think I know what I’m gonna do now - Chord Mojo (maybe used) for my computer, and either looking for a good deal on a Poly or getting a BTR5 for IEM only use for something smaller and easier Once I get my hands on one I’ll let you know how it goes :)

Good portable DAC/AMP for mixing on the go?

Thanks for the info! Also, you definitely didn’t sound harsh, just honest - I appreciate it :D Yeah, I kinda decided on the DT770s specifically because they’re closed and comfy compared to my ATH-M50xs - I would rarely bring my HD6XXs with me as they’re open backed and I don’t have a quiet...

Good portable DAC/AMP for mixing on the go?

Thanks for the advice! In terms of the DT770, I’d be thinking between the 80 or 250 ohm version - more likely the 250 if it can be driven as I’d assume they’d be more accurate. As a side question, I’ve also had a look at the Q5s type C - I’m guessing the Mojo is still gonna be the best option...

Good portable DAC/AMP for mixing on the go?

Hello all. I’m going to be getting some new home stuff later this year, but I’m looking to get a decent portable DAC/AMP for mixing and mastering music with my laptop on my lunch breaks at work, and to help drive my headphones at home until I upgrade my interface. I’d be using it with my...

    Portable DAC/AMP for iPhone

Hi all, I'm looking to get a new portable DAC that'll work with my iPhone for when I use my bigger cans, as well as possibly with my PC over USB.   I've had a look at the SoundBlaster E5 and the JDS Labs C5D, although I'd be open to any suggestions for something either pretty neutral, or...

Suggestions on darker/heavier on-ears or small over-ears? Adele VK-1, Ultrasone Pro, or any other suggestions?

I saw these in a store in the UK. They look really cool, almost looking like what Denon used to make with the D7000 but teeny-isa. They sounded OK but it was really noisy in the store (it was one of those department stores so they never have a quiet area to let you try things)     I've...

Suggestions on darker/heavier on-ears or small over-ears? Adele VK-1, Ultrasone Pro, or any other suggestions?

Hi, in terms of "Acoustic" music, it'd be more folk-like and acoustic pop in a way, things like this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pLsb1YMsKE   This type of music doesn't live in my collection a lot, I only have around 4 or 5 albums that are like this completely

Suggestions on darker/heavier on-ears or small over-ears? Adele VK-1, Ultrasone Pro, or any other suggestions?

That is a good shout! I remember that I love my Denon AH-D700s, I might get myself these as a comparison set then return the ones I don't like, but from doing a little bit of research they look cool :)

Upgrade recommendation from Koss Portapro for EDM please

For my electronic music collection, as well as my hip hop, I definitely enjoyed my TMA-1s, although admittedly they are quite a dark sounding headphone overall compared to something like the portapro (from my memory) but they seem a little bit more impactful and happy to be a little bit insane...

    Help me choose on-ear. I've made a list !

I've briefly owned the portapro myself and I quite liked them, the only issue is that because they're pretty much fully open isolation isn't that great. When I had them, the metal on the headband tended to catch on to some of my hair.   From what I remember, bass was OK on them, midrange...

Suggestions on darker/heavier on-ears or small over-ears? Adele VK-1, Ultrasone Pro, or any other suggestions?

Hi all,   I'm looking to get some new on-ear headphones to replace my blown TMA-1s. I've tried out the Aedle VK-1s and they sound like they may be what I'm looking for, but I wondered if anyone has any other suggestions.   My budget is anywhere beneath the £300/$450, but if anything is more...

Review by 'hmohammed43' on item 'Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones - Black'

TL;DR: Quick version? The SoundLink On-Ear bluetooth headphones are passable to good. I'm thinking these can live alongside my other headphones as my one and only bluetooth offering. They're comfortable and moderately on the light side, but the combo of folded headphone and case is bulky as, and...

    Looking for open/ semi-open In-ears

Throwing my two pennies in there, the Bose In Ears (sorry for mentioning them) are quite good at not isolating which might help you hear yourself a bit better
