The Stax SR-L500 and SR-L700 Impressions Thread
I just sat down for another comparison between L700, HD800, HD800s, Clear. HD800/s seem to have a little more width in the soundstage compared to L700... very open sounding, but in multiple tracks I hear more depth/front to back action on the L700. HD800/s sound is a little further away, L700...- highfilter

The Stax SR-L500 and SR-L700 Impressions Thread
I just recently got the L700 and it's mighty impressive (even though the build quality feels like these things will implode whenever I pick them up). It's my first electrostat experience and I think I might be hooked! The speed, immediacy and overall tonality is addicting. Much closer to...- highfilter

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova
Can you comment on if the S version has smoother physical edges on the IEM or is it about the same as the original version? Or if there's any noticeable difference in fit/weight? Thanks.- highfilter

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Picked up a pair of Kaiser 10U on the 20% sale. My first experience with Noble and damn these things are a beauty! Amazing bass and mids on these little guys and clear extended highs. Only have had them on for a few hours too. Very impressed so far. Now I just got to find a worthy mobile DAP.- highfilter

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Thanks. Funny you mention Canada, as I live in Vancouver, Canada. I took the hit on the USD conversion and customs, but it was worth it to me in the end. Schiit also double boxed and packed the Rag very well, so no worries there. I like the look of the McIntosh gear, nice setup.- highfilter

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Using the HD800's balanced into the Rag and NAD M51. It's fantastic. Having the Rag in the mix: Crystal clear treble presentation along with very good mid-bass and bass presence. High frequencies are extended and sound very natural, smooth but not tamed down. No EQ or mods on my HD800's...- highfilter
