Headphones that isolate well around the 100-200+ dollar range?

That could be an option, I've never looked into those before. Can they sound as good as over ear headphones? I'm sure they do isolate very well, but I also hear they're worse for your ears.

Headphones that isolate well around the 100-200+ dollar range?

I was so torn about the sennheiser 25-1 II (god that's so much to type lol) I got the amperior. I thought they sounded great and I adored the style of them, the way they rested on my ears was so painful though, I couldn't wear them for more than an hour without sharp pain, so I had to return...

Headphones that isolate well around the 100-200+ dollar range?

Ah jeez, it was so nice of you to make this list. I apologize for not being specific enough, I am actually looking for headphones to wear outside and isolate from traffic noise. Gosh, sometimes I just speak what I'm saying in my head, but I forget that it will only make sense to me if I don't...

Headphones that isolate well around the 100-200+ dollar range?

Just to clarify I am looking for portable headphones that I can take outside with me, that isolate from the traffic around me.

Headphones that isolate well around the 100-200+ dollar range?

So, I live in a pretty crowded neighborhood. I don't usually take my headphones outside with me that much because all the cars and traffic and stuff ruins the immersion of whatever music I'm listening to. So I'm clearly looking for something that isolates well from sound, that's my number one...

Static electricity is trying to destroy my headphones

It's weird how the static electricity would travel all the way up the wire of my headphones into my amp. My headphones literally zapped my ears along with my amp, apparently.

Static electricity is trying to destroy my headphones

So I was laying on my floor reading my kindle, listening to steve roach, when I was trying to reach something that was a bit out of reach. So I slid on my stomach to get it, but the static electricity fried my headphones. I thought they were busted, sound only came in through one side, unless I...

Headphones that are audiophile quality, which still block out outside noise?

I always see my younger brother wearing his beyerdynamic dt 770 headphones. They seem to completely block out all sound around him, because you can yell into his door at the top of his lungs. Unless he is just completely ignoring me (which he might have been doing for all this time), you have to...

Headphones with good isolation with the sound quality of sennheiser 650?

I think I have some idea of what I want. I am willing to sacrifice mobility for something I can't carry around with me. I have a magni 2 to power it.   I am just looking for something that sounds really good, which also blocks outside sound, like the people who are always walking around above...

The next logical step up from the Sony MDR-V6?

I have been using these headphones as portables for the last couple days since my sennheiser momentum headphones chord broke. I have been really enjoying the sound and feel of the sony mdr-v6. they're on ear but they feel really comfortable for some reason. their sound is balanced yet packs a...

How do you define which headphones are most "genre specific"?

I dunno. I'm totally at a loss for what I might want to get. I wish I could get the Shure SRH840, but those are huge and have a coil cable. I wish there was something like the sennheiser amperior but around ear.

How do you define which headphones are most "genre specific"?

I definitely want full size. I can't stand on ear or ear buds. If the v-moda xs were over ear I would go right for those. I don't want the v-moda if it has recessed mids and that stupid dance music bass boost. I hate dance music. Another thing I hate is how people say the grados are good for...

How do you define which headphones are most "genre specific"?

I already have a nice jack of all trades headphone that I am perfectly satisfied with - the sennheiser hd650. What I am looking for is strictly a portable headphone which is a difficult decision.

My Sennheiser Momentum's chords have crapped out. Tired of these headphones. I want new ones.

What about mad dog by mr speaker? That would be my option if it weren't for the 50 ohms. That's 15 ohms more than the hifiman he-400 and those are described as difficult to dive, and they're both planar magnetic headphones. So I doubt it would be a good match for my purposes.

How do you define which headphones are most "genre specific"?

Something that often comes up when I'm trying to decide on what headphones to order. I want to the v-moda m-100 right now. I often get the question when I ask what headphones I want to order "what genre of music do you like". I honestly hate this question, because I don't limit myself to just...
