Woah, I was actually thinking of buying some new Dekoni (Velour) pads for my HE1000. Honestly as long as the SQ is good and they are comfortable, you can easily replace them if the do fall apart at some point. In any case, thanks for the heads up! :raised_hands:

I love the original velour pads which came with HE1000. Can't see the reason why Hifiman don't make them as an optional purchase for the Susvara as well. Some people complained that they get warm over time, but I'll take the additional warmth, which isn't all that annoying, over polyester pads...

This right here. I can vouch for this to be true. I've actually said the same for my Hugo 2 experience, so you can be sure that its going to hook you in even more with Dave. No way you can listen to music without crossfeed anymore! :)

Yes, I would think so. Its driving my HEK1 very well and I couldn't be happier. I would certainly recommend it as a "budget" desktop system.

Got one question. Can anyone tell me or point me to a review or something of how the Hugo 2 sounds with the new Mscaler? Just interested in knowing how much is actually gained by adding an Mscaler to a Hugo 2.

For me it's about the softness. They do get warm, which doesn't really bother me, and I've never felt any itching, so overall v1 wins for me. :)

I agree with everything you said, but are you sure that the polyester pads are more comfortable than the velour pads? I'm not talking about the shape, but strictly the material.
