Smyth Research Realiser A16
I haven't listened to Atmos upsampled 2-channel music on my A16, however I am very pleased with the the speaker like listening experience my A16 provides to stereo recordings, whether hi-res or red book CD resolution as long as the original recording is good. I am able to do all of this through...- hicham

Thanks for this solution. However that won't work in the case of my streamer. I use is the Presto Music streamer, dedicated to the streaming service by Presto. It is very simple and has no other settings. Before getting that streamer, I was using a dedicated PC using the Presto Music app as...- hicham

Smyth Research Realiser A16
I added a music streamer to my system and connected its optical output the A16. It works fine at sampling rates of 44KHz and 48KHz. Once I stream at 96KHz, 176KHz or 192KHz, the audio from the A16 keeps cutting in and out and is unusable. I tried other sources, cables, as well as the coaxial...- hicham

Great! I will roll back to 2.12 then. I am not aware of the existence of firmware 2.14 as it is not on their website. Could you kindly post the link to the A16 Community Google Drive?- hicham

Thank you. I am aware of the limitations on the newer hardware, but that doesn't apply to my unit. I was asking because in some types of equipment, there is a warning that once firmware is updated there is no way to revert back.- hicham

Smyth Research Realiser A16
While awaiting the release of a firmware to address the PRIR and HPEQ imbalance that appeared in firmware 2.15, I would like to downgrade my A16 firmware from 2.15 back to 2.12 which was working fine on my A16. I have a new headphone (Stax SR-009) I want to create an HPEQ for and it comes out...- hicham

Questyle QP1
I am very interested in the QP1R. My question to Questyle is whether there were any plans to add browse by "Composer" feature in a future firmware update. This feature is essential for us classical music lovers and it was available in the iPod Classic. This feature would use the...- hicham

I have considered a mini-PC without screen but only for my home setup, not portable. I haven't done it though and still use a dedicated laptop for that. For portable use, I don't know what mini-PCs are available that are battery powered. also J Remote is very nice, but you will still need a...- hicham

I wanted the smallest Windows Tablet for portability but ended up adding external peripherals to make it work. In the end, I have to agree the Surface is probably a better solution if you want to restrict your music to the internal 512GB plus a possibly 128GB microSD card. I have a huge...- hicham

I have experimented with several configurations to have a transportable setup that includes Hugo, including iPhone, SeaGate Wireless and Kingston Mobile Lite. This is what I finally ended up doing. See picture below. The setup includes the following: - Pelican 1075 Carrying Case - Dell...- hicham
