FiiO's new Q1 portable DAC-amp: Let's drink to "Happy Listening"!

The Q1 with the Moto E ($40), 10cm OTG cable, and HP50. Velcro in between. The HP50 has nice synergy with the Q1, masking and complimenting the others' qualities. I tried the 7520 and L2 also, but the matchings weren't as nice for me. The 7520 usually surpasses these two with most DACs...

    Android phones and USB DACs

As mentioned a posts ago, a few of us bought a Moto E for $40. OTG and micro-sd card slot.

Thanks for the Best Buy Moto E deal. I picked one up, added a 128gb micro-sd card and UAPP. Fantastic. Using it with a Dragonfly v1.2 and a Portaphile Micro (627).

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics

I had this same issue, so thanks for this info. I was going to open a ticket and thought I would have to RMA my xfi.   My issue was discovered by playing certain familiar songs and not hearing correct levels on certain parts. For example, The Doobie Brothers "Minute By Minute" has a cheesy...

    UpTone Audio USB REGEN

That was easy. Thank you. One unit measured 8.49 and another at 8.44. I adjusted one to 7.1 for now. Thanks again.

    UpTone Audio USB REGEN

I've got the U9 I use with their USB isolator board and would like to try the REGEN/U9. Can you tell me how to use a multimeter to adjust the pot? I design PCBs for a living, but know very little about the electrical side of the tech. Thanks. And did you stay with 7.2V? Uptone suggests 7V on...

MrSpeakers Alpha PRIME: Impressions and Discussion Thread

So after the devaluation of my Primes, how much can I expect to get for them? Keeping them in the US.   They sound great, but I'm fine with my upgraded ZMF Master v1.

    Android phones and USB DACs

The ASUS ZenFone 2 seems like the latest bargain for USB DAC users. This guy is using it with his ZuperDAC: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/zuperdac-portable-hifi-music-anytime-anywhere#/story   It's been tested with a 128Gb Micro SD card. With the 64Gb version, you get the fast-charger and...

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics

I bit on the GOV2+ in the hopes of having it attach to Android devices via OTG, specifically an LG G2 L320K with 128Gb of vinyl-transfered FLAC goodness. It would replace my Dragonfly/Portaphile combo, with less bulk and more options.   For $285 shipped, I'm promised Class A, variable gains (2...

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics

Nice pix.   I got my 2 units yesterday, as well. Nice and solid. Hooked one up to a Pulse and everything is good so far. The display is a little bright, but a very nice color of blue. The Pulse display is very dim in contrast. Fluctuates between 12.00 and 11.99 (or 12.00 and 12.01), so I...
