Reversible AKG K701 bass mod
My Bass was certainly a lil more boomier and less tight. But it wasn't a huge difference. As for Clarity, the Bass sounds wobbly for some tracks but when I compared it to the Stock K701 and K702. It sounds it has a slightly larger soundstage, perhaps just because of the laid back vocals and...- HaruHaruHarHar

Reversible AKG K701 bass mod
Hey, sorry for the late reply. Been busy all week. Finally remembered about this. Anyhow, yup, it's the same mod. - The Tuning on the Annie is different. Had Gel pads on both and they sounded different. The annie still having more Bass than the stock K702. - To make it simple, the mod...- HaruHaruHarHar

Reversible AKG K701 bass mod
I have both pads. Unfortunately, they're pretty different sounding. I have an Unmodded K701 & K702. and a modded K701. I'll make this brief. Unmodded with Gel Pads: - Slight extra Bass body - Tamed Trebles - Mid is more forward and has body - Soundstage kinda became smaller. Both...- HaruHaruHarHar

Reversible AKG K701 bass mod
Okay, been using this mod for roughly a month or so. There are pros and cons to this Mod. I've been playing around with my HD650, HE400, DT880 and K701 at work and at home. At first, I was somewhat impressed that the Mod actually works. Bass extends deep, not as tight but still detailed. A...- HaruHaruHarHar

Is it worth it to become an Audiophile (I fear its too late to turn back)
It's a good entry level Stack. I have the Modi too and give it time to burn in (i'm no believer but it did settle down and got a lot better than it was 2 months ago) It should serve you well in the Clarity and detail reproduction department. If you ever need some Warmth and Musicality, i'd...- HaruHaruHarHar

HD650 or K7xx
I dunno but I believe my K701 to have more detail than my HD650. Just lacking in Bass Body. I used to have harsh Highs. Heres my Fix for it. Burn it in with Pink Noise and the highs settle down. Did roughly about 2 days worth of Pink Noise burn in with 1 min of silence in every 14 mins. Hence 4...- HaruHaruHarHar

It's both a Blessing and a Curse. Whichever one you wanna believe in is entirely up to you. It's not the most cheapest of hobbies, but it's nice to have em. If you can't have a Lambo, Bentley, etc This is kinda the next best thing to play with, lol- HaruHaruHarHar

Westone UM3X Vs Westone 4R (Your review)
Dude, haha, use some spacings It's hard to read something that hardly has any paragraphs. But atleast given sometime to read through, it's fairly understandable. But anyhow, didn't expect this thread to come back to life again, haha. I just got my W30 and W40 after getting my UM3X replaced due...- HaruHaruHarHar

Westone UM3X Vs Westone 4R (Your review)
Hi, Entirely depends on what you're looking for. A friend of mine has both the UM30 and the UM3X. They just fine tuned the UM30 a lil bit better, the highs aren't as recessed. And yup, it'll sound more like the UM3x rather than the W4R. Not sure how'd the W40 will sound like though. I guess...- HaruHaruHarHar

8-Wire COPPER/SILVER + 1%GOLD HYBRID CABLE - PLUSSOUND AUDIO: Impressions/Review
Glad to see atleast one Review on this cable =D Was also planning to gamble and try out the cable for my Westone ES5, W4 and UM3X. Well, it's more of like I broke the UM3x's cable connector so I have to order a new set of cables for it.... And while doing so, might as well get a Good one anyway...- HaruHaruHarHar

Westone UM3X Vs Westone 4R (Your review)
Quote: How do you put this. Uhmmmm, A DAC is basically a Digital to Analog Converter. One which you would call a 2nd source of sort. Your music is in a digital format. Be it a CD or in your PC, that's your first Source, then it needs to be converted into an Analog format before it's...- HaruHaruHarHar

Westone UM3X Vs Westone 4R (Your review)
Quote: The UM2 and the UM3X are really different. All of Westones iems are unique and have their own signature XDDD But Nevertheless, give the UM3x a nice burn in and sometime getting used to. And you'll love it XDDD The Mids are really breath taking. IMO. I liked it over my ex SE535s...- HaruHaruHarHar
