I'd personally save up the extra cash for the Antlion modmic if you want a full-sized microphone, as it's not permanent, and easier to attach/detach.- handfootya

If i attempted the speaker tap option I would obviously insulate the solder points and exposed wire with heat-shrink tubing as well.- handfootya
