Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I totally agree with you. That's totally great that you do that!!! I thought you rotated 9 players in and out of your system!!!. I love my pioneer pl510 1977. I agree with you, the new ones do not interest me very much. I would love to buy another vintage table that was refurbished...it's such...- hagenhays

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I appreciate any nuggets of knowledge for turntables..... I am definitely excited to hear the reviews of the SOL... No worries here Jason stoddard....I will be pouring over those with a fine tooth comb. I hope they go for something different....maybe pioneer heavy like, not rega light weight!- hagenhays

Music hall was on my list...hmm.....but aren't music hall and rega about the same??? I really did not like the built of the rega, it did not impress me, so flimsy compared to my vintage pioneet....but maybe all new ones are. I just want a nice heavy new one. It will be a ways out. I always do...- hagenhays

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Ok I'm dumb....I just tried the splitter again, and voila it seems to work fine. I had to push pretty hard on the rca cable to get it down on the adapter (adapter easily went into my multibit dac). Only thing I can think of was that I underestimated the torque needed to get them securely...- hagenhays

Thats what i used...it didnt sound the same as direct rca out. I even made sure the other device was turned off. There was a hum and lower output of sound. I messed with it for hrs!!! I couldn't figure it out.- hagenhays

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I tried splitter adapters....maybe I just got a bum one. Ordered 2 pairs. They degraded the sound and didn't sound right....I checked various places to make sure I hooked it up right.... So now I just run my dac to my receiver and run rca out my CD player to my magni 3. (Marantz 6005cd) I like...- hagenhays

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Jason: I would take a new loki if it had dual rca outs. Could you please consider this design? (I currently do not own anything with balanced outs) I am interested in being able to take my modi multibit to both my receiver and my magni 3. I cant imagine that i am the only person that wants to...- hagenhays

*if you are in this hobby and have a job that lets you participate in this hobby, then yes you should be able to save that up in a few months.....if not, you should really find a cheaper hobby, or be buying their modi or bifrost, not the yggy, that's just stupid. You should never finance a hobby...- hagenhays

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Been a while since I've been back on...lots of posts to go through. Had the case of upgraditis these past weeks. Got a new cable for my hd6xxs. It's still single out (periapt) but man they don't seem as veiled anymore. Running off my magni 3 and also vali 2. Finally got some new speakers.. Got...- hagenhays

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
So I have to throw in a comment about voodoo cable magic. I have always ordered monoprice and standard grade cables. Well the cable on my hd6xxs from massdrop just didn't seem right. I had heard others comment that is where they cut corners on cost. I tended to agree. Well yesterday my new cable...- hagenhays
