Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings

Sent my QP1R in last week, so it should be there soon. Shout out and thanks to Bruce! I really miss the sound from my QP1R, as I am stuck using my Note 8. Its never the same. Honestly just hope to have the replacement in soon so I can go back to enjoying musical bliss :L3000:

    The NEW Headphone Lounge Thread

Scrolling through Facebook and I ran up to Ted's posts. Saw that he got new y-splits in too. Looks really nice compared to the ones he was originally using; they look much smaller. Might have to get him to make me another cable whenever I get some money in. I need to stop spending money on audio...

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

As you scale up, you'll find more potential with the Vega. While that is true for all IEMs, the Vega is a different beast. It really sings and tells the story when given the power to do so. Though, it sounds fine out of my Note 8. Plug it into my QP1R and it's a whole different IEM. From my...

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

True. But as is the Vega. It loves source power and scales with more powerful, quality sources. But just from a technical IEM only standpoint, I was speaking from. I assume everyone here has something decently powerful at least.

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

It's harder to type on phone but here it goes: I have owned 2 of this company's IEMs personally. My brother has the Lyra II, so I have used 3 of the IEMs. I had purchased the Jupiter back when that was their TOTL. Afterwards, I sold it and purchased the Vega upon release. To me, the Vega is...

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings

I'm not sure but I almost want to say that it does sound better or different. I'll write it off as placebo. As for if updates can change sound, its quite possible. The OS interacts with any APIs or kernals and that alone can mean change. Changing any of these can alter the operation. As for if...

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

What's actually really funny is that I really thought about selling my QP1R and Vega to fund a new camera gear for my solo business (Photography) and plan ticket to see someone special in Colombia just so I could have the money. As soon as I put those IEMs in and playing out of the QP1R, that...

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

Also remember that BA drivers don't actually move air in the same way Dynamic drivers do. The reason for the port is because of its design and requirement. But I mean, you can actually research most of that stuff quite easily.

Same. I am curious on what could have changed in the code to result in the problem. Its really odd.

    Questyle QP1

Interesting. When I owned the Jupiter, I ran low gain. Since my Vega needs more power, I run mid. Like you, it sound better with mid gain than high. For whatever reason, everything sounds all bunched up and nasty at high, but just flows on medium.

    Questyle QP1

I found something similar with my Campfire Audio Vega. Interesting how some play differently and sound better at gains I would have thought otherwise.
