I just made my first set of cans the K550...205$ (taxes and ship incl) Looking forward to lush sounds and uninterrupted audio bliss. I know nothing about sound textures and types but will surely enjoy these as an ice breaker into the audiophile world.

Just watched The World's End with the ever witty Simon Pegg.   I just love this guy since I saw him in Shaun of the Dead.   Some funny bits in the movie for sure, kind of an interesting storyline to say the least.   7/10 - maybe fractionally lower

How do the K550s sound when it comes to movie watching?   I am 90% sold on these but want to know if they are worth it if used for movies 75% of the time.

The Purge (2013) - interesting idea...but poorly laid out on screen. It would have been nice if the movie was not centered around one damned house but rather touched on different event in the World related to the Annual Purge Event.   5.5/10   --------------     Thor: The Dark World...

Yeah that movie was a disgrace to the game. The games themselves were a playable movie. Ah well...very few games make to the big screen successfully anyways.

I have not tried any headphones save for my now defunct HD202s...so I would not even know where to begin with that. I mean I don't think I have a freakishly small head by any means nor does it appear to be overgrown! Haha   I have read that the Beyer cups are among best in terms of comfort...

Yeah that would save me the headache if I went through the gauntlet of trying them out. Always a bit hesitant about that, but the folks here seem to live by that and it seems to work well for them. Just a matter of diving into it! Appreciate the suggestion.
