The Stax thread (New)
Not to rain on anyone's parade here, but here's my story. From hanging around Head-Fi in general and this thread in particular, I recently arrived at the SRM-717 OM/Mk1 combo, both also bought here on Head-Fi. They are easily the best things headphone-wise I've had. More than anything, I...- Goosepond

You guys are making me feel mighty good about the 717 I just bought to replace my SRM-T1S to make my OM/Mk1's sing. All transactions right here on Head-Fi. What a place. Gene- Goosepond

I love it when someone happily exclaims that they just WON an auction. They didn't WIN anything. They were willing to pay MORE for an item than anyone else! Gene- Goosepond

The Stax thread (New)
Hi, I'm proud to be a new member of the Stax OMII Mk1 club, courtesy of ShaolinRasta. I also picked up a nice SRM-T1S from spritzer. I was looking for something to connect the balanced outputs from my Cary CDP. I already had a SRM-T1 and a pair of 404's that I had picked up on Audiogon about...- Goosepond

Any FM fans left?
I live in a rural area and in order to get the classical music station I want, I need an external antenna. It's a real crap shoot and my Sony FM tuner cannot get the FM Stereo signal, only the Mono signal. It still sounds pretty decent when it is strong but that doesn't last. Gene- Goosepond

Check out the latest swt61 headphone stand
Steve is making me something right now. I got so caught up in the exotic woods at his disposal, I found myself choosing the look more than the style. I ended up getting him to make me a wall hanger for 3 sets of phones. The pics are beautiful and from what I gather in this thread, the real...- Goosepond
