Classical: Mostly symphonic and brass ensemble stuff. Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Dvorak, too many to list, but I tend to go towards Romantic era composers.
Jazz: High energy big band stuff. Stan Kenton, Doc Ellis, a lot of music featuring trumpets.
Classic Rock: Pink Floyd, Journey, Queen, the stuff that your local classic rock station will play.
Classic R&B: Nina Simone, The O-Jays, Bill Withers, Amy Winehouse (not really older), Earth, Wind and Fire
Newer Funk/Jazz type music: Mingo Fishtrap, Youngblood Brass Band, Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power
