FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
1 - I'm using the latest version of Tidal from the Play Store. They removed the crossfade option a while ago, but that didn't fix anything for me. 2 - I keep the X7 in my jacket, in a pocket at chest level. It's not going to get any closer to the headphones. Turning off wifi doesn't improve...- goldenegg

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
Agreed! We definitely need a new firmware. There are two issues that are keeping me from regularly using the X7 MKII. Playback in Tidal is not reliable, with songs randomly skipping. Happen with music on both the local and SD storage. Bluetooth headphone connectivity is terrible. Many audio...- goldenegg

I still get stuttering. It renders Tidal useless for me. I thought it was a problem with internal storage, so I moved Tidal to use an SD card. The same problem happens with the SD card. You can download music in lossless format with Tidal.- goldenegg

I don't have a crossfade option in Tidal. Where do you find that setting? I'm using the latest version from the Google Play store.- goldenegg

Are you sure that you're using the 1.0.7 JP firmware, installed using the full Android image? I've confirmed on two other units that the update stops the unit from seeing 5Ghz networks.- goldenegg

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
I decided to give the latest JP firmware a try. It's generally working well, but I can no longer see 5Ghz networks. Only 2.4Ghz works.- goldenegg

As mentioned in my post, it's on the local memory of the Fiio. I only use the SD cards for my own music files.- goldenegg

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
Has anyone else had trouble with Tidal with the latest firmware release? The problem I'm experiencing is what appears to be corrupted downloads. When downloading multiple albums at once, several songs that were downloaded will not play properly. When playing them, they will sound like...- goldenegg

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
Got it working! I needed to download the latest firmware and app APK from the Fiio website. For some reason, it wasn't pulling down the most recent through the online update on the player. I have run in to another issue though. I have a few albums from HDTracks.com that don't play properly...- goldenegg

That explains it then. The tracks are tagged in the #/# format. I'm not going to bother re-tagging all the tracks, so I guess I'll just use the Onkyo player then. Would be nice if they supported those tags in a future update. Thanks for the help! EDIT: Actually, no. The tracks aren't...- goldenegg

FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
I just got a X7 MKii and wondering if there's any way to get the default audio player to sort by track number. As far as I can tell, it only sorts by name of the track. I can use the Onkyo player, but that one seems to have an issue where it won't let me unpause playback from the remote on my...- goldenegg
