McIntosh MHA-100 headphone amplifier review
I understand that you want the very best, but I'd rather put my Money For Value into source components and phones. Imagine what a Stax SR-009 would do for you in comparison to a a somewhat marginal increase from an amp.- gmckay

Headphones, MacBook, amp?
Hi.. I would recommend foregoing the DAC/AMP route and begin with the best headphones you can afford. Your Mac as source is actually better than most PC sources and and you will always get the most bang for your buck if you focus on your transducers first. Any appreciable enhancements...- gmckay

RS-1- Pads stuck on?
Is it normal for the pads to be adhered to the cups? I just recieved a used pair and was looking to swap the pads with my HD-414 pads from my old SR-225's There seems to be some sort of adhesive attaching the pads to the wood cups. Is this a mod perhaps from the previous owner, an age...- gmckay

Roll Call: Who's building, built, or thinking of building a beta22?
Still trying to finish my build- I'm about 90% finished. I've taken the harder route...separate power supplies and transformers for each of the channels . Each amp and power supply is mounted directly on large off-board Conrad heatsinks. I'm planning on using this amp for headphone and...- gmckay
