Philips new DH product information
The HP1500 leaflet that was present on the press download area was (c) 2004. Seems that the late October release date was not realistic, time to mock up a leaflet, someone said make it copyright 2004. Mushroom policy as usual.- Glyn

AKG Hearo 777
Number9, Sorry, I should have made that clearer, I only use them for DVD/Movies. They are way below what I would consider reasonable for Hi-Fi. I can only presume that AKG think people want lots of muddy bass with their movies. I like AKG kit, I am prepared to be persuaded that it is...- Glyn

AKG Hearo 777
Some US members expressed interest in these. I have a pair. They are bad. Not cool bad, just bad. Floods of bass, no rear channels, heavy, hot. This is not me just being mean to AKG, love their 501, K1000. Something has gone wrong with the 777's. Had the DSP PRO, loved it, trod on...- Glyn

AKG K1000 or Stax?
I had Stax for ten years, listened less and less to music. Now have tubes and AKG, listen more. I feel Stax are for impressing your friends, not so much for seriously listening to music. This may be going against the perceived wisdom, but that is what I found.- Glyn

Wireless phones?
I am tired of stepping on the cable when watching TV at night. Has anyone discovered a decent cordless headphone? I would prefer open and light(ish).- Glyn

Headphones fatiguing?
HD600 just hurt my head. Ouch. Great sounding, could be a bit (sonically) looser. My AKG 501s are loose, emotive, but are 180 degrees to the ears. Can only listen to one CD per session. HD600 perhaps one and a half CDs. K1000 longer, but heavy.- Glyn

k1000 paint job?
Both the pressure pads on mine detach themselves. If the music seems lopsided, I hunt around on the floor for a pad. Paint job ok. Serial number is 10013. Mention this because K1000s have been around a long time, lots of versions I would think.- Glyn

h'phone to end all phones
Beagle, I have AKG K1000 and AKG 501. After the Stax experience, I want the emotion in the music. I want 501.- Glyn

h'phone to end all phones
Neruda, I was trying to find synergize in the dictionary, couldn't find it! Honesty, try to find an Earmax Pro and have a listen. Caution, you may dump all your other kit, I know I did. Well, I put it back into the boxes.- Glyn

h'phone to end all phones
taoster, I use nothing but AKG 501 on the Earmax Pro, everything else tried and discarded. Latest Stax are back in the box, after years of forcing all my friends to listen to to them. Am I over selling the 501's? I wish I could bring round a pair for you to hear. Like most headphone...- Glyn

h'phone to end all phones
taoster It may be the size of my head. I once tried to purchase a motorcycle helmet and tried four manufacturers before a top of the range Shoei fitted. The senn just seems to clamp to the sides of my head. AKG's, Stax, Sony didn't. I watch TV late night using headphones, all are...- Glyn

My HD600's hurt my head, I've had them two years, still do. AKG 501's don't, sound not so confined as HD600.- Glyn
