Did anyone move from a Fiio E7 to this? I've had the E7 for a few years now and been playing around with the E10k for about a week but, to my ears, they sound almost identical through my HD 598s as well as my M100s. Perhaps it's because my headphones are not particularly hard to drive? Or maybe...

I would give up a Klondike bar for one of these!

Wow, this post is old! Seems like just yesterday when I made it.   I've owned a bunch of headphones/IEMs since then, currently settled on a M100...for now 

Thanks! I got it done yesterday by splicing the cable together.    It took a while because the speaker and the extended cable weren't color coded the same. The red from the speaker went with the white from the cable and vice versa.

I have a set of speakers that have been cutting in and our randomly. I've figured out there's a break somewhere right above the 3.5mm connector (cable is ATTACHED to the speakers). Kind of like this:   http://www.laptopandcomputersolutions.com/sites/default/files/980-000309-PB-R-unit.jpg  ...

I haven't been keeping up with this thread, are the M100s readily available now?

So these are actually bassier than the LP2? I thought it was the other way around considering the LP2 are regarded as bass cannons.

Just got my M100 an hour ago. Sounds pretty great so far but there's a bit more scuffs on the cans that I would like.   Ah well, back to listening.
