If by updated you mean the copper mesh vs the yellow. Mine is definitely the copper.- Gefell

Mine is nothing drastic like that. I'm guessing my leather band is longer than yours. Stock, it pretty much rests touching the plastic directly when on my head. With the mod, I can just barely fit my fingers between the plastic and the leather, when it's on my head.- Gefell

Audeze LCD-4z - Impressions Thread
Previous to this, the plastic band had no clearance to the leather strap when it was on my head. The back of the plastic band would be resting on top of the leather, and thus digging into my head a bit. It was creating a hotspot. Now the plastic doesn't touch at all, only the leather strap...- Gefell

The strap stays in position as it was. All 4 holes are used. The plastic band shifts up and is only screwed in by it's two bottom holes, to the top of the strap holes. Essentially creating a bit of a gap between the plastic band and the leather strap when you put it on your head. edit - you...- Gefell

Here you go. You can see from the inside, nothing looks different, the same holes are used. From the outside, you can see the plastic band has simply been shifted up. So essentially the 2 bottom holes of the band are being held by 2 top screws on the inside. The bottom screws just go through...- Gefell

OK I fixed the plastic headband part digging into my head. I have no idea why Audeze ships these with such loose leather headbands, but there is a simple workaround using the existing holes. I found the answer in the response post here ( the OP uses a destructive method, not recommended )...- Gefell

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Hey guys, I tried to find this in the manual, but I'm wondering if the TT2 gives you any sort of visual indication if you clip the A/D? Intersample or otherwise?- Gefell

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Closest dealer is 5+ hours away unfortunately. How sturdy is the black finish? Is it anodized aluminum? In my brief used searches ( I'm going to buy new), I noticed one that seemed to have chipped flakes of black missing along the edges, and it looked silver underneath.- Gefell

I have a super important question as I'm leaning towards picking one of these up shortly. Black or Silver? P.S. No I'm not Paul.- Gefell

The other option I'm thinking of ( since I don't need mobility so much ) is to start with a Qutest and pair it with my THX 887 amp.- Gefell

Ya he does own a lot of the stuff I'm looking at lol. I think it's probably small upgrade vs big upgrade debate for me at this point. If I drop Hugo2 cash now ( middle of the road), it may have been better served saving it for a bigger upgrade to the TT2. I just wonder how good toppings...- Gefell

Topping D90
So I don't have a D90, but I do own an 887. My 887 clips in the high gain ( mode 3) out of my Prism Sound Lyra2's XLR, so I suspect it will clip out of the D90 XLR. XLR is 4v & RCA is 2v. Assuming the 887 has the same design as the Drop version... there was a post on the drop version describing...- Gefell

Really enjoying these, especially with the Audeze profile. If I look at the above post again, and move the midrange to 0db, it's about a +2db boost to the low end / 3.5k range, and a 5db boost to 8.5k. I've been listening to them for several days, and returning to specific albums along the...- Gefell
