iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

How old is your xDSD? Those battery problems are common when the battery has reached its end of life. I hope iFi gives you the support as to be proud for their customer support. The best batteries my devices have had have last 6 years, but the common is 3 years.

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

At the beginning even if I accepted, no sound was coming from my xDSD but from the phone speaker, I had installed USB Audio Player Pro so I uninstalled it. Then tried again and now Tidal crashes too when I try to play something. I have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I even reinstalled Tidal but it is the...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

2 days ago I had a strange problem with my xDSD. First, it discharged completely. I connected to an usb port to charge, some minutes later, I tried to use it, it was not recognized by all my devices, the Input led was on, the kHz led was off, no music at all. I turned on and off many times...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

UAPP only make sense for USB conneciton if expecting bit perfect. Using Bluetooth from the xDSD is fine as it is and UAPP is not needed for bit perfect, use your favorite player. The best thing from the xDSD is the Bluetooth implementation, not MQA support, but well, it doesn't hurt a big...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

This is a known issue here at headfi on this thread. I have posted and asked about to iFi many times. The most likely thing is that a previous version of Android had the ability, the other probably thing is that iFi know how to mess with Android to allow bit perfect with MQA signal to the xDSD...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

I don't hear any difference between UAPP and Tidal, and the Tidal interface is way better. I'll give UAPP a chance if they can make it possible to use the Tidal downloaded cache, but of course, that would be to mess too much with legal rights if I'm not mistaken. The most obvious solution would...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

Did not work. But thank you anyway. On my Mate 20 Pro, after enabling developer options, I get the MTP mode for USB. I had to verify repeatedly since very often turn back to "only charge". Tried uninstalling Tidal and reinstalling it, verified again MTP mode, nothing. Actually, I don't think...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

I know. Maybe is asking too much as it's not an issue of the xDSD. But anyway, the video shows it's possible but not how to achieve it 100% as the steps on the video are not enough. I have the same phone used on the video. I remember you told you was going to ask to the iFi team that did the...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

I haven't updated my firmware and I do get Magenta light with UAPP, but, I don't want to use UAPP, it's ugly and I cannot find it simple as Tidal's interface. Tidal is simply intuitive, so I prefer to stick with just Tidal, however, I'm giving up MQA. As for your case, I suspect is the same...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

No sorry, actually my question is for the one I posted. This one: I simply cannot get it to work to see Magenta light for MQA in my Huawei Mate 20 Pro as on the video with just Android and Tidal. What is missing? I have succeeded using the third party app UAPP, but on the video is not used, so...

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

I remember that ifi Audio put on Youtube a video to show it is possible to get magenta light only using Tidal and nothing else. @iFi audio told here that it would ask its team how, but nothing. Any update @iFi audio ? I don't like the third app UAPP, the interface is ugly and not as simple as...

Topping DX7 - DAC and balanced headphone amplifier

Anyone pairing this with the Sennheiser HDV 820? I know it's a cheap DAC but I was wondering if cheap is just "cheap" and more likely a SMART buy as the product just delivers for the price. If you were to get a separate Amp (Smart buy) to pair with the Topping DX7s which one would it be?

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread

I ended buying an adapter from 4.4mm to 3.5mm TRRS. Also a 4.4mm to 4pin XLR for the same cable on my iBasso SR1 to compare and try with the other amp/dac I have, the DX7s. I share my experience: I actually don't find a great benefit from the s-balanced on the xDSD, but that is not the case...

iBasso SR1 semi open Headphone. Limited production.

It is common. It happened to me after buying the headphones and the balanced cable. I Sent a message from the contact form and everything was OK. After 2 days, you receive an email with a confirmation that your product has being shipped.

Monoprice Monolith Liquid Platinum - By Alex Cavalli

What do you guys think about this attenuator? Since I would use very efficient headphones and I have read that the volume control rockets to the sky, I plan on using 2 of these between my DX7s and the LP with XLR balanced cables...
