Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
As you can see from my previous posts, I have some experience with the “clicking” issues and use of batteries. When the clicking started, I could use my 12 volt battery to initialize the TT2 and move past the clicking. Eventually, even the battery wouldn’t work reliably, likely indicating the...- Gadget67

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
It appears that every manufacturer is experiencing supply chain issues, elevated shipping/distribution costs, Covid problems (still) and the upcoming holiday season already sounds like a nightmare. I guess a cost increase shouldn’t be a surprise. Glad I purchased my Chord gear last year!- Gadget67

The TT2 still shows at $5495 at Moon Audio (one of our sponsors) and the M-Scaler is $4795 so apparently there hasn’t (yet) been an increase in the US.- Gadget67

I understand your reticence to try another TT2. Mine experienced the failure to initiate/clicking problem a couple of months ago. Since it’s basically the heart of my small system I was reluctant to send it in and be without it for some unknown amount of time. I was able to get the TT2 to go...- Gadget67

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
Seems to be the case, though I’m happy to see Audeze release a new headphone. I’m still outrageously happy with my Abyss but of course I’d be curious to listen to the Audeze at some point. For now I’m just addicted to the ability to make minor adjustments on the fly with the Abyss as I’m...- Gadget67

Do you drive them from the rear XLR out on the TT2? I’ve been reading about them but it looks like the Stealth thread has gone south a bit.- Gadget67

You could start off by breaking out the very early Christmas music; maybe a little Mannheim Steamroller! Congratulations and definitely enjoy!- Gadget67

So, kudos to Chord USA; my TT2 is repaired (the dreaded clicking issue) and on its way back to me with a brand new board. I was anticipating a long wait but they were very responsive. Still a bit nervous as the clicking issue seemed to be a common issue. Hopefully the “flaw” has been resolved!- Gadget67

Focal Utopia General Discussion
This is complete conjecture, but since yours are four years old they fall in the timeframe of when numerous driver failures were occurring. I would assume (of course I don’t know) that there must have been some driver modification to “fix” the problem, if there really was one. Hey, like I...- Gadget67

I am in the midst of getting my TT2 repaired as it won’t initiate using the stock PSU. I used a 12 volt battery to initiate the start up and then quickly switched to the PSU; the device then continued to operate. Rob Watts noted in an earlier post that this could be a faulty inrush limiter...- Gadget67
