    New Beyer DT1350

Regarding integrated amps vs headphone amps - would I (and my DT 1350s) benefit, sound-wise from a headphone amp if I'm currently using a stereo receiver (Nakamichi RE-10)?  I like using the receiver because I have two sources that I switch between frequently, and most headphone amps I saw...

    New Beyer DT1350

Finally got my pair from B&H this afternoon - almost two weeks after ordering it, but that's another story.    Been listening to them for a few hours now.  So far, so good.  I can see why people say that these have a "reference" sound.    As far as putting them on "correctly" - I haven't...

    New Beyer DT1350

Argh, this thread is so frustrating!  I was all set to buy the HD-25s, but found this thread saying how awesome the DT 1350s were.  So, I was set on buying them (and was just about to pull the trigger), until I read the last few posts!     // end rant   In all seriousness, thanks to...

Using 1/8th to 1/4th adapter = unequal balance?

Hmm, that's a good suggestion.  Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Using 1/8th to 1/4th adapter = unequal balance?

Yes, I've tried other headphones and earphones with the NAD receiver.  Same problem.  I don't think it's a problem with the balance controls on the NAD receiver because I just tried it on a Nakamichi receiver, and it had the same problem too.   To answer your second question - Yes, though...

Using 1/8th to 1/4th adapter = unequal balance?

I wouldn't say "fix" - just that the problem doesn't occur with the Denon receiver.  When I tried it again on the NAD receiver, the problem was still there.  Any ideas?

Using 1/8th to 1/4th adapter = unequal balance?

Hi all,   I have a strange problem, and I thought maybe the wise folks here would know the answer.  If this is the wrong sub-forum, please let me know.    I'm trying to use my earphones (with a 1/8th plug) on some components that have a 1/4th stereo jack.  The problem is, when I use a...

    Cheap IEM for Airplane Trip(s)

i'd toss in another vote for the um-1s. the comply tips that they come with give you great isolation and comfort. i didn't think the e2c's were all that comfortable. i haven't tried the others, but the um-1s were so comfortable, that if the other two you mentioned were MORE comfortable...

    What are UM1 users using?

I use the triflanges, with the smallest flange and some of the stalk cut off. It's not as good as the comfy comply tips, but at least these won't require replacing. Anyone know how long the comply tips usually last?
