Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Did Audeze come out with a new iSine ear hook? The ear hooks in the accessory kit on the website look to be the original ones, which are prone to breakage. I keep hoping Audeze will offer more robust ear hook designs as optional accessories.

Sorry for the slow response. I just replied to your PM. Frank

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Start with PLA filament and use that while you get used to your new printer and tune your parameters. Set-up to clean-up can be time consuming. Jobs will fail, prints won't stick to table, heads will clog, filament will run out. All part of the fun. Finishing your objects takes time, patience...

Monolith M300 In Ear Planar Earphones

Thanks for the suggestion Steve. I started making clips for just a few Headfiers a year ago. There's over thirty of us using the clip/hook combo now. I'll put some info in my profile to make it easier for Headfiers to find. Thanks again, Frank

Hi karana, The CAD work was done by someone else. I don't own the file, but I occasionally do still print clips for fellow Headfiers. PM me if interested. Frank

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

That's a great solution. Much easier than printing replacement plates. The new plates I made in the pics posted earlier took three hours to print each side, so six hours total on the 3-D printer, not including post-print clean-up or the design time. My stock cushions are still in new condition...

Links to the ear hooks are below. Clip size doesn't matter because you throw away the tiny clips that come with the ear hooks and replace with our clips or ones you make yourself. I do not have permission to post CAD files to thingiverse. I am still making clips for iSine and M300 owners here on...

OK. Will do. I think if you want more bass, avoid velour and look for a pad material that will provide a better seal. Sometimes I just want the comfort of velour for a long non-critical listening session while working. Could be why I still have an old set of HD600s and haven't sold my 400i's...

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

Yep, just the plates, and yes they are removable - no adhesives, no damage to pads or headphone. Being able to return to original is always a design objective for me, although not always possible. I tried the Sony pads on the M560s but it was not my cup of tea. I'm not sure regarding the 8K...

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

We do make them ourselves. (It's "we" plural because another guy does the CAD work.) Depending on pads you would prefer, we could figure out how to make them. I chose the HyperX pads because another M560 owner glued up HyperX pads on his M560s and reported no loss in fidelity, and also turned...

M560 oval pads! I finally got around to making a new set of M560 plates that enable the use of HyperX oval pads. Much better than my old 3-D printed plates, which were simply the same dimensions as the original plates. These new plates extend a little above and below for oval pads but don't look...

Monoprice Monolith M560 earpad replacement method question

I finally got around to making a new set of M560 oval plates for the HyperX pads. Much better than old design, but more complex to print. I'll post pics over in the M1050/M560 thread. This solves the M560 fit problem for me. Pads are velour so some bass is sacrificed in exchange for the roomy...

Monolith M300 In Ear Planar Earphones

Thanks YoungArthur, the diameters are different, and yes, I am still making both for fellow headfiers. There are about twenty of us using the 3D printed horseshoe clips with amazon/aliexpress/ebay/earhooks. We've been using this combo for about a year now and it's worked out quite well for everyone.

Monoprice Monolith M560 earpad replacement method question

Those plates were sized to be the same dimensions as the existing plates, but they didn't work for me in the end. I needed more ear space. I saw that someone put oval HyperX pads on M560s and was happy with the result, so I bought a set of those pads and am experimenting with them now. They are...

Monolith M300 In Ear Planar Earphones

Ear Hook links: Here are links to the ear hooks that a group of us are using. The ear hooks all seem to be coming out of the same factory in China and sold online by several different retailers. The ear hooks work quite well and are very inexpensive. The problem of course is finding horse shoe...
