M2Tech HiFace vs. Twisted Pear Audio USB receiver

Can someone tell me the differences between the two? I'm interested to know their technical differences.   The only thing I know is that the HiFace support 24/192 and require a custom driver.

    Denon AH-D7000's for $549

I've found the D7000 new for $600 online a while ago, so I think you'll be able to find them at 600-700 without too much problem. Didn't buy it though... almost clicked the button...

Need more resolution than K1000 - which headphones to buy?

Man, I can't imagine the K-1000 lacking more resolution. May be you should try a different amp... Or try the W5000, I don't know if you'll like how they sound, but they definitely have details.

Does the AKG K701/2 do anything better than HD800?

It's amazing how a debate between $250 and $1400 headphones goes on for 9 pages. To me it's obvious that if you're on limited budget 701/2 is your friend. But if you've already spent close to $5000 on Amp/Dac/Cable/etc. It's likely that you got some money, and spending $1400 on a headphones is...

Did I ruin my AKG K701....?

impedance have very little to do with blowing out your driver. Impedance have more to do with how much current/voltage your headphone needs in order to operate optimally and produce highest quality sounds. If you're curious about how current and voltage affect your headphone, the guys in the...

    Which headphone upgrade to choose?

I have experience with both K702 and HD650 running off good amp. For Jazz, I definitely recommend K702 over the HD650. It is a lot of fun listening to metal on the HD650, but for Jazz, K702's natural sounds is better for Jazz to my ears. Although, I think AT sound signature is the best for...

Did I ruin my AKG K701....?

Unless the headphones are pumping out music so loud that you physically torn or stretch the diaphragm, your headphone will be fine. If you're determined to find out, go to Best Buy or Fry's and try your headphone on a receiver.

Umm... can an energizer run just off of speaker outputs (NOT plugged in?)

I have a SRD-7Mk2 and I'm pretty sure it needs to be plugged in.

Headphones for big grapes? My new K 702s are hurting my skull.

K702 has average clamping force compare to some of the headphones I have. Although, because of my small head, I can feel the clamping force on my jaw more than any where else. I think this problem really depends on the unique shape of people's skulls... And I can't imagine the clamping...
