Decided to sell mine to feed my new wardrobe.   Used for like 100 hours, in the past month.   If anyone wants to get into this headphone, well, it will be one of the cheaper ones you find.   Cheers

  HE-400 not bass friendly? Aren't they known as one of the bassier headphones? 

Wonder why so many people hate the HD700s. I wonder if there is a large degree of variability or something equally strange across the production line...

How should I get quality audio out of my PS4? Should I buy an Astro mixamp or something like that? Would the optical on the PS4 to my optical Vali work? Was thinking of getting a V-Moda M80 or M100 with the attachable microphone.

I'm curious as to how durable the transducers are in planar magnetic headphones? If you crank up the volume to levels painful listening levels, will this hurt planar magnetic designs more or less than dynamic drivers?

I got this headphone recently, with the Schiit Vali and Modi (optical). I listen predominantly to really, really heavy metal, a lot of sludge/doom/death/post/experimental/instrumental stuff like Cult of Luna, Neurosis, Behemoth, Year of No Light, Fall of Efrafa... and this combination is...

But, is it improper to call it a planar magnetic headphone? I thought there needed to be an even placement of magnetic arrays to produce an isodynamic magnetic field.

I have a question, I heard Mike Moffat say that the Gungnir has a total of four DACs in there (one DAC per phase, per channel), but as far as I know spec-wise it's listed with two AKM4399s. I don't know much about how these things work so can someone explain to me what that is so?

Isn't a single-sided magnetic array technically inferior to a double-sided one? I'm not an engineer, so, could be in the wrong here...

I have the Vali and Modi with the HE-400 and I think the combination is fantastic.
