Official HIFIMAN HE1000 Impressions Thread
To my finding HE1000 with Mytek Brooklyn beat both HD800 and HD800S. But please note HE1000 after burn-in period (300-500 hrs) will sound much much better than the new one.- ellevoid

iFi iUSB3.0 launch. Names back in the hat and new #2 Winner! (page 24)
I've read the white paper that usb3.0 generate a lot of RFI/EMI when in use. How you guys deal with this interference issue from usb3.0 standard that might affect the sound quality? Thanks for the answer in advance.- ellevoid

I think $5,000 for New Closed back flagship and $50,000 for new Orpheus. But the new closed back is a wireless headphone!!!- ellevoid

Violectric HPA V281 - Vorsprung durch Balanced (September 2023 Update: Limited Reissue Edition up for preorder!)
For me V281 has a warmer sound compare to Taurus Mk2 and has a better output power. At that time, I changed my headphone from HE500 to HE6 and HD800. I found Taurus was a bit brighter when using with them and I had a feeling that it can't drive HE6 to full potential, so I sold it and bought...- ellevoid

Violectric HPA V281 - Vorsprung durch Balanced (September 2023 Update: Limited Reissue Edition up for preorder!)
Between those choices, I would definitely choose V281. I owned Taurus MK2 and V281 using them with my HD800, LCD3F and HE6. V281 is a winner. I also tried Ragnarok with HD800 and LCD3 at the local shop here, it sounds very good but V281 is better in both sound and build quality.- ellevoid

Violectric HPA V281 - Vorsprung durch Balanced (September 2023 Update: Limited Reissue Edition up for preorder!)
You made the right choice. For me I don't regret when I sold my Taurus MK2 and bought V281. I used it with HE6, LCD3F and HD800. Taurus is very good but I found more enjoyment in music when using V281.- ellevoid

I don't understand what is your issue but Taurus MK2 has a brighter / leaner sound compare to V281.- ellevoid

NAD M51 Direct Digital DAC Impressions
Hello olor1n, How did you revert it? Did you revert from 1.50 directly to 1.39 or 1.50 > 1.43 > 1.41 > 1.39? Thanks- ellevoid

NAD M51 Direct Digital DAC Impressions
I already have a very good customized C.A.P.S. (I spent $2000 on it). I also tried other DAC like Auralic Vega, Ayre QB-9, Mytek Manhattan, Invicta Mirus, Weiss DAC202 all of them are better than M51 but for me I don't think it worth to pay $3000, $5000 or $7000 for that gap. So I think...- ellevoid
