Recently i have discovered the newly released DUNU DK-2001. I think that would be a very good starting point, but i have no experience in comparing them to anything else (and i dont think soundmagic E50 is an adequate compare point :) ).

You're on the right track with the Woo WA2. My first real set-up was a Beyer T1.1 and WA2 with the 5998 upgrade.

For the bezel I think if you send it into Tag for a service they would be able to restore it for you. Genesis Watchmaking are also a very highly recommended company. It might be worth looking into.
