Of the 10 heard most recently: Heir 4.ai > ASG-1.2 > RE262 > B2 > EPH-100 > XBA-4 > IE8 > EXS X10 > XBA-1 = GR06

My vote still stands by the RE400. The most neutral and flat out of the budget, but if you wanted to stretch it a bit the R50 and B2 (DBA-02) would be great for the analytical signature.

Just to clarify (@OP), you are looking for an IEM that's good with classical music AND compliments the FA-003, correct? May I also assume that you would like a neutral signature, or are you just about open to anything that, in our respective opinions, we find good for classical music? It would...

I have not tried the Rain, so I will refrain from commenting on it. Strictly discussing classical music and the signature that would have the best synergy with this genre would be the RE0. It has a flatter response than any of the above mentioned earphones, neutral and detailed in a manner...

Maybe check out V-Moda M-100? It would work nicely for your needs. Have not tried them myself, but I have tried the M-80 which I would rank around the same level as the M50 (but then again, different signature and M-80 is supraaural while M-100 is circum). You can read up on the big brother...
