I didn't like the Sundara's for positional audio. The DT 900's were an improvement. I thought the HD560s were more accurate. DT 1990's were even more precise. If I had to pick just one of those headphones as my one and only, it would be the DT 900. I preferred their comfort and build quality...

It's not bright enough to avoid them, in my opinion. If it's more bright than the HD58x, it's not by very much. Nowhere in the same league as say a DT990.

I wouldn't say they're any brighter than the HD58x. Then again I obviously wouldn't stop anybody from getting an HD58x either.

They might sound better, but absolutely not required. My 900's were so easy to drive that I had the volume on my heresy at around 9 o'clock, rather than my more typical 12 o'clock. That was on low gain. Unless you're itching for an upgrade, I'd say stick with what you have.

So I got them back and they seem fixed, at least to my ears. They replaced the left and right drivers. I wish I still had access to the old drivers to see if it was all in my head. But I've compared them to my other Sennheisers and they sound right. I've had channel imbalances. That's not what...

Yeah, I've tried multiple cables. There's a noticeable difference between the 660s and my other 6 series headphones (I have them all). I think I have a dud. Thanks all.

Trying to figure out if Sennheiser sent me a bad refurbished unit. Do all 660's sound quieter in the middle than the left and right? Not sure how to describe it. It's like the left and right have the full range of sound, but the middle is noticeably "off" when I compare it to other headphones.

Looks like they'll start shipping them out today.
