Stereo Receiver and CD player replacing old Luxmans
My dad's old (20-30~ year old) Luxman stuff (Receiver/CD player/Phono/Cassette) looks like it's starting to conk out after all this time! :( His Luxman D113 CD player won't play CDs anymore, just makes a whirring noise. One of his two floorstanding speakers is dying, suspects it may be the...- DrunkenTiger

Best sub 100$ IEMs?
I listen to mostly hip hop, podcasts, watch shows and youtube etc. So good mids/natural voice sounding buds are so important. Currently my go to favorite IEM is the Zero Audio Tenore, but I've been using it while running and it's wearing out (pretty sure the drivers have been submerged in...- DrunkenTiger

Need PC headphone amp and Speakers recs
So I have a SoundBlaster Omni surround headphone amp thing, but recently I've turned off the surround processing on it as I realized it made everything sound kind of muddy, especially music and voices in podcasts/youtube videos. I don't really seem to be missing it ingame either, which is odd...- DrunkenTiger

Zero Audio - ZH-DX200 Carbo Tenore | ZH-DX210 Carbo Basso (Carbon & Aluminium IEM) thread
These have become my favorite earbuds over the last four months, they go well with everything and the vocals of everyone sound eerily natural to me. Way more natural voice reproduction than my desktop Sennheisers, though those are cold/analytical for gaming purposes haha, these are warm and cozy...- DrunkenTiger

Creative Sound Blaster new series Z, Zx & ZxR
Holy **** I just disabled it and music sounds insanely different, much more forward O.O and more bass? like I feel more physical **** going on near my ears on my Sennheiser G4ME ZEROs Music does sound "cleaner/smoother" with it on 67% though, sounds like it pulls back the music a tad and cleans...- DrunkenTiger

The Nameless Guide To PC Gaming Audio (with binaural headphone surround sound)
What's an upgrade from a SoundBlaster Omni, using Sennheiser G4ME ZEROs and I love the combination but I'm curious. Has to be through USB, most played game nowadays is BF4.- DrunkenTiger

Asus Xonar U7 DAC/AMP Impressions Thread
I have a SoundBlaster Omni with the Sennheiser G4ME ZEROs Really no complaints beside not one button switch to speakers that I plan on buying soon. How does this compare? I game a lot, and also listen to a lot of music, cap out at FLAC though, don't dabble in "high res" audio.- DrunkenTiger

Would be very appreciative if someone could tell me how the Vmoda M100 pairs with the X1, how it differs from the Clip+ :)- DrunkenTiger

Portable over/on ear headphones under 250$
Definitely the first part (I did mention my playback sources after all), and yeah reasonably portable would be nice. Which is why I'm considering on ears as well as over ears. :)- DrunkenTiger

Portable over/on ear headphones under 250$
Earbuds feeling uncomfortable more and more, maybe just need better ear tips though... (JVC FXD80, Zero Audio Tenore) I run a clip+ rockboxed or listen from my surface pro 3 when I'm not at my desktop. Might get a Fiio X1, not sure though. I listen to a mix of music and I'm not a basshead...- DrunkenTiger

Zero Audio - ZH-DX200 Carbo Tenore | ZH-DX210 Carbo Basso (Carbon & Aluminium IEM) thread
I got the tenores, running off a rockboxed clip+ Vocals are really damn good, I mean damn the Tenore part really holds true. Really nice for hip hop, doesn't sound tiring though this is still early impressions. Everything else sounds fine too, not as much analytical crispness or treble like my...- DrunkenTiger
