CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
My main issue is called OCD… Jokes aside, I did not identify any specific issue but years in this hobby thought me that you don’t know you have an issue until you hear the difference. It has happened to me several times also with the DAVE when I moved from feeding it from my PC to using the...- doraymon

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Sorry to go back more than a year... The noise I was referring to in my post was the one mentioned by Rob Watts HERE. When redoing the electrical system at home I was trying to take any measures to isolate my HiFi gear from the rest of the house, so I asked the electrician to dedicate a separate...- doraymon

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
I am doing some research on old posts in relation to my quest to reduce noise. I'm starting a core renovation of my house, including the complete electrical system and I was wondering what I can do in my office/listening room to improve the quality of the power fed to my Dave and other boxes...- doraymon

Reply to review by 'doraymon' on item 'Pathos Aurium'
Reading now your post… I’m not sure why you’re having problems removing the tubes. I had this amp a few years ago but I don’t recall the tubes being difficult to remove. Have you tried contacting Pathos?- doraymon

Focal Celestee Review & Measurements
I owned and loved the Clear before moving up to the Utopias. FWIW, the Clear are the only headphones I would consider to own together with the Utopias as a second pair. Their airiness is phenomenal, I miss them and was actually very close to buy them again...- doraymon

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Guys I have requested a quote for a 2 XLR to 1 RCA cable to connect a REL T/5i sub to the Dave’s XLR out. the cable manufacturer is asking me: “We ask for the manufacturer's recommended wiring information when going from a balanced to an unbalanced device (or vice versa). This is usually found...- doraymon

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Allow Me to be honest. I find this discussion about the extra care towards less experienced headfiers overly protective and “politically correct”. We need to smile and take innocent jokes for what they are. However in the years I’ve learned to love and appreciate this community and all its...- doraymon

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
That's a really enthusiastic review, it makes me feel better as I intentionally controlled my words when expressing my enthusiasm in my first comments, to avoid sounding like a fanboy... Today I got a cheap pair of XLR to RCA cables and I connected my Home Theatre sub (B&W ASW610) directly to...- doraymon

Some subs (especially for mixing studios) have XLR inputs so I guess that's not going to be an issue, e.g. Yamaha HS8S or JBL LSR310S.- doraymon
