1MORE Announces New Quad Driver IEM @ CES 2017

Hmmm... Considering that the Triples give a fairly shallow fit and the nozzle on the Quads is noticeably shorter, I'd expect the Quads to give a really shallow fit - which seems like it would make getting a good seal a major challenge. Makes me hesitant to take the (shallow) plunge...

Review: 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphone with In-line Microphone and Remote

I think a lot of this is a question of attitude. If a recording has flaws (e.g. something that was digitized from a vinyl record and has some hiss), a more accurate, detailed earphone will reproduce the flaws as well as as the music; if the flaw is there, only an inaccurate earphone will fail...

Review: 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphone with In-line Microphone and Remote

I think this is sort of an apples-versus-oranges thing: Any pair of earphones is going to let you distinguish between a saxophone and a trumpet, or even a saxophone and a clarinet. And probably even a pretty crappy set of 'phones will let you distinguish between an alto sax and a tenor sax...

For what it's worth, my own experience of the Triples doesn't really match yours; OTOH it's likely that my own music preferences (mostly Indian classical, some jazz) mean that I'm listening to very different stuff than most others on Head-Fi. For me, these do a very nice job on sitars and sarod...

I think I'll have to vote with Toom on this issue: The differences, if any, from burn-in are likely to be small enough that a comparison across time for the same set of 'phones is almost certainly going to tell you more about varying external conditions (insertion, how you're feeling that...

Using a clip does, I think, reduce microphonics (although not to zero, I find). Really, though, in my experience the best way to get rid of microphonics is to wear 'phones with the wires looped over the ear. Unfortunately, the Triples aren't designed for this; I'd dearly love to see an...

I tried it once, and found it pretty useless. I'm using a Sennheiser clip on my Triples, and it seems to do the job better. That said, I've yet to find the perfect cable clip - any suggestions out there?

Could well be. I'm using a Huawei P9-Plus, and I believe this model is considered to have pretty good sound processing.

Nice review - although FWIW I haven't found the Triples to be as bassy as you describe. My sine-wave testing indicated that (at least to my ears) they were essentially flat up to around 4700 Hz., with pretty good bass response down to 50 Hz. or lower. (I actually have a small bass-boost in my...
