Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
for those that have used the wired Etymotics, are there any tips out there that would get me a similar seal as one could get with the Ety tips for my Shanling MTW100? even with the smallest tips after insertion it slides back out a few seconds later, not enough to fall off, but that seal is gone- dimm0k

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
with the new ER4 with the detachable cable, is it just me or are the materials used more prone to wear and tear on the cable itself? the points where the cable connector and the braided cable meet, as well as where the splitter cable seem to get the most wear and tear. in fact trying to replace...- dimm0k

LG V20 Sound Quality
you wrong... you can relock the bootloader to return to your original state. not sure how you can blame Google. they provide the manufacturers the base and its the manufacturers that change it how they like- dimm0k

until manufacturers and cell companies sell phones without all the unnecessary crap, rooting will always be necessary. also, warranty voided due to root is a common myth. rooting does not void your warranty as you can always return to stock- dimm0k

The PA2V2 Thread
anyone heard from Gary lately? I've not sure if it's the amp or what, but usually when I adjust the volume knob in the 10-50% range the balance on my headphones shift mainly to the right side. I can get them balanced with a little fiddling around of the volume knob itself, but other than that...- dimm0k

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Etymotic! it's been a while since I've been on this forum, but glad to see the Etymotic love is still strong! came back here to see that there has been a new release in the ER4 line, just in time to replace my beloved ER4P as they were on their last strands. while a bit heartbreaking, especially...- dimm0k

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread
planning on making the cord removable and was wondering if there's any pre-made cables out there that would keep the sound as close to the original while being more flexible and light?- dimm0k

modding DT 770 PRO-80 for detachable cable
I was thinking of getting the DT 770 PRO-80, but much to my dismay the cable is not detachable. Looking on here, as well as the Internet, it looks like this can be easily remedied if you're willing to make a little project out of it. My question is, does it matter the quality of the jack...- dimm0k

Possibly fixing ripped Etymotic earphone
Well I originally wanted to pick up a third pair, the newer black ones so I sent my damaged pair in for repair. They replaced the cable and was kind enough to return the old earphone back! I am unsure if it is possible or not to reattach, but from the looks of the wires themselves it is. Will...- dimm0k

Possibly fixing ripped Etymotic earphone
Worst thing happened to me this morning... usually on the subway with my earphones plugged in, but today since I was with a friend I did not need any music so I had them clipped to my collar. As I got out of the train, the earphones dropped to the floor and my foot stepped over them pulling...- dimm0k
