Basically, all I want is a way to install toslink or coaxial on my pc I custom build so I can connect an external Dac that doesnt have USB without sacrificing data sound quality (bit perfect).

I just purchased the EC/SS with my grados. Oh my god, I am in heaven. This is the only headphone amp that has truly given justice to my grados. It is truly amazing. Every note is superfast, precise, and amazing. Excellent for every type of music, especially techno.

I have grado sr-80s and an asus xonar essence stx. Will be buying the sr-325is in a week as well. The thing is, my headphones sound better coming from my ipod than they do from my asus essence stx soundcard. The ipod sounds much more livelier and forward, like im on the stage with the musician...

Yep, I matched the impedance on the card to the rating of grados. Really that is already the default when buying.
