Thanks. I just ordered two and will give it a shot.  I always thought the Crack was a touch weak up top (with the HD650) but the Fiio E17 with the treble control is perfect for it.

Correct.  I use either a web browser on another computer to control it or an Android or iPhone app.  You could run it from a battery pack or a car charger.  I never have done that.   And I have a proper headphone amp as well, a Fiio E12DIY.  When I really want to rock I'll slip that in the chain.

I think some people have to file and some don't and why that is I have no clue.  I personally was able to get my case closed with MUSES1 and 2 and with OPA 627 on the adapters however I bet you they all barely touch the case.  It just barely clears it.
