Tor Audio Headphone Amps.
I've been using a Tor Audio Nick that I purchased 2nd hand for about 4 months now, and it's the best sounding amplifier I've ever used. My DAC is a Khadas Tone Board, and I use the Nick with either my Elex, or HD6XX, and it's an absolutely incredible setup. I wasn't much of a believer in tubes...- demevalos

CanJam NYC 2020 (February 15-16, 2020)
Howdy all, this has probably been answered here already but I'm on the way there now, is there a bag check / coat check that we can use at the venue? Just so we don't have to stop at the hotel first- demevalos

Beyerdynamic DT-1770 Mod Thread
You would want a 4 pin mini xlr that has a nut on the back of the jack, instead of the front. Unless you just wanted to hot glue the jack in, which would work also but may not last forever- demevalos

CanJam NYC 2020 (February 15-16, 2020)
I worked on 32nd for a while across from Penn, and for our monthly department meetings we got Suprema a lot. Can confirm, Suprema is the best pizza in NYC. Pricey though, expect around $6-$7 a slice!- demevalos

DIY Cable Gallery!!
I recommend redco or markertek. Good prices on most things. Amphenol connectors are my favorite to use so far. Here's my favorite ones: https://www.redco.com/Amphenol-KS3PB-AU.html For wiring I've always stuck to my tried and true Mogami w2893...- demevalos

Monolith M1060C Closed Back Planar Headphones impressions
I just picked up a set of these on ebay for $50, listed as just "not working". I figured worst case I have spare parts. Turns out, the issue is that a 2.5mm jack broke off the tip inside of the 2.5mm female connection. It's really in there, I've tried using small watch repair tools to get it...- demevalos

I haven't done the mod yet. I'll be using TRS female jacks in the mod, so I was thinking of wiring them like this - Tip = Channel+, Ring = shield, Sleeve = Channel-, so that way I can use my already-built dual TRS 3.5mm (which is only wired on Tip and Sleeve) to 4 pin XLR cable, and then can...- demevalos

Thanks so much. I actually am using TRS females, but the cable I'll be using is 4 pin xlr at the amp anyway, so I'd have to wire and specifically make a cable for them. I'll try it without the shield first and see how it goes.- demevalos

I'm looking to mod my T1 Gen 1 to have dual detachable cables. I opened them up and found this: https://i.imgur.com/ns17p7c.jpg It appears that there's a bare copper wire that runs all the way down to the sleeve on the TRS, along with the negative connection (brown in this picture). Does...- demevalos
