The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: Interesting, I have always seen some odd reviews of the K701, in which they are described as warm. Not that I am disagreeing, they don't sound warm to my ears.- delusionist

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: I think the treble is just right for me at least. They appear laid-back to me (though this is not the case) because I have many bright headphones. But yes, the T1 is far less bright than the K701/Q701/DT800/etc.- delusionist

Review by 'delusionist' on item 'beyerdynamic Tesla T1'
It's hard to review this headphone as it's the most I have ever spent on a headphone. For starters, I don't really care for the HD800, I do have the SA5000 which I consider much more technical. So of all three which would be the most musical, while delivering an accurate sound? The Beyerdynamic...- delusionist

Best closed headphone under 300 dollars
What's with this TC thing? I don't think he'd enjoy the SRH-940 (they're quite bright). Not to mention they have build quality issues. I think he should get the K550. The 940 is probably better in terms of fidelity though, but too many problems.- delusionist

Recommendation for a newbie
Quote: The V6 does indeed sound better than the M50 to my ears. However the V6 is not portable due to the coiled cord. Consider the Sony MDR-ZX700 Also if you plan to listen on your laptop I recommend a USB DAC/amp such as the Fiio E7. Most onboard laptop audio is poor.- delusionist

Best closed headphone under 300 dollars
Quote: The K550 is fairly flat. The highs are brighter than the M50, but it's not bright/piercing. Then again, my listening time with the K550 was very short, I hope this helps.- delusionist

HD650 or HD600?
I'll vote for the HD600. I really really hate the HD650's warm/dark/laid-back/veiled/muddy sound signature. But consider this, I have a friend who has both and he vastly prefers the HD650.- delusionist

Wich are the best headphones under US$1000 for classical music?
I think the consensus is that an airy signature might be best for classical, but then again I'm not sure. I do have the T1 and the Q701 and I find myself switching back and forth between them. The T1 would be perfect if it had a much more airy presentation (like the HD800 and Q701) while keeping...- delusionist

AKG k701 bass
Quote: Because many audiophiles don't understand how EQ works. They might have tried EQ and and inserted positive gain and got clipping and it was a bad experience for them, so they rule out EQ. In the loudspeaker world, EQ is a necessity for calibration. To really hear the K701, I...- delusionist

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: Interesting, my T1 is quite laid back when compared to the DT880 and even the Q701. To my ears it's the most accurate full sized headphone I have ever listened to. I'm not sure if it's the best as yet, more hours are needed.- delusionist
