Looks: 10 These look really good and matured in design. The carbon fibre ear cups especially (when not covered in fingerprints) Can't go wrong with all black. What concerns me a little is how long will the carbon fibre cups look "new" In other words, how long before it starts to turn yellow and show up scratches.     Build: 9.5   Man these make my other headphones feel like toys.  These are built with very high quality materials: Carbon fibre ear cups, nitinol headband, machined aluminium construction and gimbals, Italian leather head...

Ok so because I don't feel like ranting endlessly I'm gonna try to keep this short: There's not a lot to say about the sound, there is not too much wrong with the sound: a little bright, harsh and grainy. Otherwise its quite good with actually good width in the soundstage which I like. Now the build: Once you get it out the box it looks fine with OK construction. But things went downhill. Fast. I'm driving these out of a Cambridge Audio Dac Magic Plus, also these are the first planars AND high end closed headphones I've heard, so maybe you will find this review interesting. I had a lot of fun writing it. :) First Impressions: These feel really weird on my head. *Starts first song* What (Takes cans off and sees I connected the wires the wrong way...

Info: DAC: CA Dac Magic Plus. Player: Foobar2000. Source: PC lossless files through USB to DAC. I've had these headphones since Christmas now and coming from HD 598's the improvement was noticeable (less grain, more bass impact, NEUTRAL and more realistic) but the treble sounded hot, and the stereo-image too narrow...  After listening for them and comparing them for few days, my brain started to adjust to the sound of the headphones and it started to sound AMAZING. The headphones stereo-image started to widen a bit (or a placebo). Anyway...
