    XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player

Some others on the thread have also mentioned temperature issues. I haven't noticed my (black) X3 getting warm, so perhaps this is another quality control issue, as was suggested regarding battery life?

True, the display is small and it isn't isn't colour. Thankfully we're listening to the music, not watching it.

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

If it isn't disappearing from windows explorer, chances are it isn't ready to remove yet. Have you tried connecting then clicking safely remove without actually adding any files? Does it disappear from windows explorer or not?   The easiest way to add files is to add them straight to the SD...

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

Yes, someone (pamaury) is working on an official port. How much of what can be reused from this one, I've got no idea. There seem to be some technical issues, and also some political issues. If the rockbox forums continue to go up and down you could try the mailing list or the irc channel...

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

The Rockbox forums do seem to be down now, but they were working yesterday, so that is hardly ages. I've got sympathy for your situation, but your anger towards rockbox and their developers seems misdirected. The developer of this port created it to scratch his own itch, and many of us are...

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

Not experiencing your problem, but to help diagnose the issue can you tell us: 1) What operating system you are using to transfer the files 2) What you mean by "eject" the drive - if you mean "safely remove" in Windows, or umount + eject in Linux, make sure you are waiting for the message that...

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

IIRC, Rockbox sees sd1 as internal storage. Is it causing problems?

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

There could be something wrong with the update zip, although I've got no idea what. I suggest deleting it and downloading it again fresh. If you haven't seen the rockbox logo then the firmware update isn't working.

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

Is the .rockbox present on the SD card (depending on your OS and settings it might be hidden)? What happens when you power on the player? What happens when you power it on with the hold switch in place? Do you see either the XDuoo logo or the Rockbox logo?   Having unzipped the update.zip is...

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

This thread is specifically about Rockbox on the XDuoo X3 music player (i.e. not an iPod), so if you want to continue this conversation it might be better to start another thread or post on the rockbox forums. That said, you're in luck - 1st Gen Nano's are a first class citizen on rockbox. See...

    Rockbox Xduoo X3

I was happily using cabbiev2 until Fiery Jack's post about the missing folder. The current version was the first version I installed, so I thought Hi-Fi was some just minor tweak on the fallback theme! Cabbiev2's fonts were a little on the small side, but it did mean more fit on screen at...

    XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player

Just got one of these and I'm overall really pleased. Took me under 5 minutes to install Rockbox using a 128Gb Sandisk card.   Sound quality is super - my speakers were at the best I've ever heard them when I hooked these up through line-out just for the craic.   My only disappointment is...

    Looking for Shure SE210 replacement

Like the OP, I'm looking for something to replace my SE210 which broke after many years of love and abuse. I listen to a huge range of music (classical, rock, metal, electoronic, trance, triphop, jazz), so all-rounders are important to me. Within the realms of classical music and jazz, I...

    Maverick Audio DAC/Amp

Ok I excitedly took your word for it and set it up - it worked alright yesterday, but I've got up today and I get a horrible crackling noise through the speakers, regardless of volume, whenever I turn the tube magic on. It worked so well yesterday - what is going on?

    Maverick Audio DAC/Amp

Hey, I recently bought a TubeMagic D1 after reading lots here on head-fi (I tend to lurk and read, not post).   I was wondering whether I can connect the pre-amp outputs via phono - 1/8" jack converter cable to my Jamo i300's line-in without damaging any of the components.   Any ideas...
