    Philips SHP9500 Discussion Thread

Just got these a few days ago. I recently had the M40x and 598se. in comparison to those the 9500s seem to have less problems but i think its still lacking something in the top end. kinda merky in the higher frequencies. :( how do the Audio Technica AUD ATHAD500X compare to 9500s?

I Got 85 Bucks Whats The Cleanest Sounding Headphones I can get?

I tried the sennheiser hd 598se and M40x the past month. Both were awful. The 598 was cut at 9khz and the lower mids/bass were overly emphasized with no sub bass. the m40x were better having a extended response but they sounded bad for being so "neutral" i believe that around 4-5-6khz it was...

Review by 'Cybrupt' on item 'Audio-Technica ATH-M40x'

When I first put on these headphones I noticed that around 7-9khz there was some really nasty frequencies going on. After letting them burn in for just a few hours it was less nasty. I think I would have preferred if the cut wasn't there or at least a few khz higher like the m50x before cutting...

    Sennheiser HD 598 Impressions Thread

Listen. I've been recording with thousands of dollars worth of microphones and have used studio monitor speakers for the past ten plus years. Headphones are somewhat new to me. But it is part of my job to be able to read the frequency response of microphones. The things I say are facts not...

    Sennheiser HD 598 Impressions Thread

They were grainy for a bit when I used them. Then they seemed to clear up. You should be a bit more specific on why you think these are better than more expensive headphones. I personally after using them for a week before selling them am quite confident that they have no top end frequency...

Review by 'Cybrupt' on item 'Sennheiser HD 598'

These are my first pair of headphones since almost 10 years ago. I am used to using studio monitor speakers to judge microphone frequencies. This headphone has a similar mid and lower mid frequency response to a Blue Baby Bottle microphone. Had I known this I would have never bought them. They...

are you trying to prove something with this? the fact is says it goes up to 38.5khz even though i said it cuts off at 10khz? http://www.head-fi.org/content/type/61/id/563031/width/350/height/280   it actually cuts off starting at 9khz and from where it cuts off its already very low. aka...

    Sennheiser HD 598 Impressions Thread

Hi, guys. I'm new here haven't really looked around. I recently bought and am working on selling my Sennheiser HD 598SE headphones. I have a lot of experience with microphones and listening to their frequency response. When I bought the Sennheiser HD 598SE I didn't know what to expect. I never...
