before I buy myself a new pair of Yuin pk2s..

are there any other earphones you'd recommend? I've been a bit out of the loop for a while now, so i don't know if there's anything new out there.   I don't really like canal phones, or want to use an amp, and would like to be forking out a similiar price ($80usd)   cheers

    Good quality (free) CD Burner??

hey folks, i'm making a couple of mix CDs for my buddies at the moment. However, when i burn them on iTunes they sound pretty terrible, flat and lacking definition. So are there any good free burners out there that will provide something more accurate? Some non-degrading normalisation would be...

Clipping in Songs for the Deaf?

i think Rated R was pretty well produced, for a modern rock album. But SFTD is near enough unlistenable on headphones.. back when i was a kid and didn't even know what compression was i found it a difficult album to get all the way through

    Headphones for the "fashion conscious"

hey folks, my sister has come to me asking for a headphone recommendation. Now, she's quite a fashion conscious young thing, and said she was interested in the WeSC Bongos - having done a little research it would appear that the sound quality of these is poor, though they do look quite stylish...

can i just double check before i start chopping the pads up - if you're reversing the HD414s you need to cut a hole the size of a quarter (approx 24mm) in the other side? For a pair of MS-1s

Portable headphones for the discerning gentleman

can't fault a balanced and effortless phone really.. It's funny you mention the ES7 though, because i'm not a big fan of them. They seemed very congested to me, a with a definite hint of honk. As closed phones go, do the G2A suffer from any of that sort of resonance? finally, a broader...

Portable headphones for the discerning gentleman

i enjoyed your review joker, just one thing though. Would you say the G2As are a little thin and trebly (an accusation i've seen elsewhere). Also, how do they handle high volumes with their closed backs? Is there much resonance? i was also looking at the v-Jays, but apparently they have a...

Portable headphones for the discerning gentleman

I'm in the market for a new pair of headphones to wear at work and out/about. Unfortunately my Nuforce UF-30s have started to cut out at the headphone jack (my second pair) so i'm looking for something different, but not too far away from the UF-30s. So small, over the ear (not around), sub...
