    Also check to make sure your cable plug us making a good connection to the ear up jack. I have the same problem from time to time which is cured by a squirt of contact cleaner.

    I've noticed that several of the mods shown here have indentations in the plasticine that look like they were made by a Phillips screwdriver. Just wondering if there is a benefit to these or whether they were done to press the plasticine down into the cavities.

    Since some of the popular mods include replacing the stock ear cups with wooden or printed versions, I'm wondering if it would make a difference to apply something to the outside of the stock cups to make the exterior walls thicker.  Sorry if this has been discussed before and I missed it.
