Need recommendations for an amp setup for many different headphones
Quote: Thanks for the recommendation! A quick check on Amazon show's the Schiit Lyr to be $350, which is a little over my budget, but I think I could pull it off. I'm going to wait for more recommendations, and going to do tons of research before making any decisions though. Thanks- Cory722

Need recommendations for an amp setup for many different headphones
So I'm looking for a good setup to use for many pairs of headphones, very different headphones at that. I'm not going to pretend to know what I'm talking about, so I'll just explain my situation. I use a laptop, so a DAC is pretty much necessary. I was looking more towards getting a tube amp...- Cory722

Ultrasone 580 or 550
Hey I was wondering which to get out of the two. I have been referred to both as good basshead cans, I just want to get the ones with more. They aren't meant to be my main cans, just meant for fun. If anyone knows which has deeper and punchier bass, that'd be great. Thanks!- Cory722

New headphone suggestions?
Another quick question, I noticed you mentioned the HFi 550's but I have heard the HFi 580's being highly recommended as well. Do you or anyone else know which has more bass? I am leaning towards getting one of the two.- Cory722

New headphone suggestions?
Thanks! Out of all of those, which would you rank the best? I know that is a hard question, seeing as I have heard multiple cans, and I can't choose a favorite, but I am looking simply for bass. These are meant to be fun cans, my Beyers will stay my mains, especially when I'm recording.- Cory722

New headphone suggestions?
Hi guys, relatively new here. I'm sure you get this question far too often, but I am looking for some advice on getting a new pair of cans. I am a major basshead, I listen to dubstep, house, and other electronic music. I listen to various forms of rock and other genres of music, but not as...- Cory722

Official Grado-Beyerdynamic Fan Club (for those who love BOTH! :)
I know this is a general appreciation thread, however I have a concern that I recently came across. I have a pair of Beyer DT 770 Pro's, and I just noticed that the cord is starting to come out. What in the world should I do in this situation? I really don't want to have to replace them, as they...- Cory722
