Can you enjoy lossy (compressed) music through your favorite headphones?

yes, around 256-320 kbps sounds good to me Honestly, I can't hear the difference between 320 kbps lossy and lossless (yet ), so in order to save my HD space, I pick lossy

    Looking to buy some IEMs

IE8 is good for rock and hip hop since you can adjust the bass response to your liking. I've tried my friend's W3 and for me, the treble is too much. Great bass, though...

    Do you EQ your Music?

no, I don't. IMO it makes the song sounds too artificial for me.

Which IEM's Have the Best Soundstage?

Another vote for IE8. But although it has the widest soundstage of all IEMs I've tried, it's still can't give me the sensation of "large concert hall" like what the open-back full sized headphone can give...

    Ultimate Ears UE4 Pro Review (Well, A Mini-Review Anyway)--The Poor Man's UE10 Pro

So the UE 4 Pro has sparkling treble and deep, impactful bass. What about the mids/vocal and the soundstage? As for the $501 price difference and just a slightly different SQ, will it "kill" the UE 10 Pro sales on the market?

Looking for IEM to go with iTouch Unamped

You can try Monster Turbine. From what I read in reviews, it has great bass response, much like Beyer DT770, right JMT391? Or you can try Sennheiser IE6

    Westone UM3X announced!

A friend from local forum bought this UM3x and reviewed it. He said that although it has a high impedance for IEM, but it can be used unamped with no problem. Maybe because UM3x has high sensitivity.

Review: Portable amp roundup! 56 portable amps reviewed and compared - FINAL update 12-20-10 added RSA SR-71B

Great review!!! I'm interested in buying Corda 3Move. But I nocited in your review that some amp is not so good to be paired with IEM (causing some hiss). Is Corda 3Move good to be paired with IEM? I'm using UE SF5Pro.

    PA2V2 Amp Report

I tried to replace the batteries with Energizer NiMH rechargeable, but the hiss is still there. Last week I had a local gathering with my friends, and I tried some full-sized headphones (MS-1, ATH AD700, and DT770 250 ohm) with my PA2V2, and the hiss is completely gone!!! I wonder, is this...

is it worth the upgrade from ultimate ears super fi 5 pro to triple 10 pro earphones

I have Super.fi 5 Pro and already tried my friend's Triple.fi. Yep, it has better sound quality, clearer highs dan deeper bass. But for my ears, the treble is too much. So I prefer the Super.fi.

I'm using the alkaline batteries because my friend said that the higher the battery current means the higher sound quality. But, I'm gonna buy some NimH batteries. Thanx for the tip, bro.

    PA2V2 Amp Report
